The successful candidate shall be responsible directly to the Head of Department of Marine Services.  Under the authority of the master, he directs ships into and out of the Port safely using specialized knowledge of local conditions including winds, weather, tides, and current.  He must perform duties efficiently and effectively, day or night in all weather conditions, including high winds, fog, mist, rainfall, and other adverse conditions, as encountered.  It is imperative in all aspects of ship handling where a pilot must be able to have good mental reflexes that allow him to make sound decisions so as not to delay operations.

 

Requirements:

  • Preferably not more than 45 years of age.
  • Possess a Certificate of Competency as Second Mate (or Deck Officer Class 3) Foreign Going from recognized Maritime Academy.
  • Holding valid Seaferers Certificates, computer literate.
  • Must have at least six (6) months seatime experience on a Foreign Going vessel as Second Officer.
  • Physically fit and be able to meet the necessary eyesight and hearing requirements to carry out marine pilotage duties.

  • Minimum 8 years work experience in sourcing, supply chain mgmt, supplier development & 5 years experience in machining/sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes
  • Hands on experience in Machine/ Fabrication shops
  • Advanced knowledge of Mechanical commodities; clear understanding of detailed technical drawings ; GD&T and specifications;
  • Fluency in English (written & verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal , communication , presentation and negotiation skills; ability to work directly with demanding customers
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Access & PowerPoint
  • Familiar with low volume high mix sourcing and operations
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
  • Lean Manufacturing experience

Supplier Quality Engineer
(Johor – Senai)

Responsibilities:

  • To drive supplier quality resolution through SCAR and audits
  • To conduct material purge and dispositions
  • To follow up on Supplier Process Changes including evaluation and approvals
  • To support IQC on material inspection plan
  • To assist IQC on verification and dispositions of materials
  • To set up inspection plan for improvements
  • To drive supplier performance improvement

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 4-6 years working experience preferably in Plastic Injection Molding industry
  • In-depth knowledge of Plastic Mechanical components/parts
  • Knowledge of tooling design and parameters presses would be an added advantage
