Assistant Brand Manager

Responsibilities:

An influential position in the brand marketing team to drive strategic initiatives that will contribute and strengthen the company’s brands position in East Malaysia. With Entrepreneur instincts, the candidate will need to identify gaps and opportunities to develop products and build the value of our brands that will contribute to the overall business goals of the organization. He/she will also oversee the development and implementation of commercial strategies and undertake creative marketing initiatives to enhance the market presence of our brands.

 

  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual marketing vision/objectives/strategy
  • Budget preparation and development  of the annual brand plans
  • Develop a strategy/plan on own brands for every element in the marketing-mix (media, price, distribution, sponsorship, promotion and creative/advertising development strategy)
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing and Sales team on promotion strategy and implementation
  • Ensure the development of creative PR-initiatives in cooperation with Corporate Communication and/or external partners
  • Pick-up on and analyze the consumer reactions and results of initiated brand marketing activities and ensure corrective action if targets are not met
  • Ensure that consumer research/insights, experience and results of marketing initiatives are collected, analyzed and communicated to relevant parties internally/externally
  • Continuously optimize all processes regarding brand marketing activities and expenditures
  • Ensure that all suppliers observes our brand guidelines and “tone-of-voice”
  • Participate in relevant outgoing activities (e.g. market visits, press meetings, events etc)

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Economics or Business Administration preferably from a reputable University
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience within brand/marketing management in FMCG
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to bridge the span between strategic thinking and operational understanding/ implementation
  • Effective, positive and motivating leadership style
  • Reasonable experience of working together with advertising, media and promotion agencies

Finance Controller
(Labuan)

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead Accounts / Finance department. Accountable for financial and risk management, comprising planning, operation, financial information, risk management, funding and liaison with external / third parties.
  • Develop business plans for the company – short-term and long-term, corporate KPIs, strategic analysis / review against industry benchmarking / capabilities.
  • Monitoring and reporting on strategic KPIs, financial results, variance analysis, and corrective action plans for performance gaps.
  • Conduct periodic review of all internal financial controls, procedures and guidelines. Prepare updated and revamped effective work procedures in ERP system and controls for approval by the Management. Enhance ERP system and business intelligence solution across system modules for effective control.
  • Supervise treasury function on sales or purchases, L/C or other payment terms, trade-finance facilities in compliance to contractual terms, negotiation of terms and rates, loan/bond agreements and monitored compliance of conditions and covenants.
  • Coordinate annual external audit and internal audit exercises, reviewed all financial statements and schedules, attend to audit clarifications issues and ensure financial statements accuracy and compliance with standards and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate risk management program that covered risk profiling exercise and insurance policy / coverage for all facets of the company business
  • Manage budget and planning processes.
  • Responsible for the provision of monthly and quarterly actual consolidated data and budget and forecast data.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting + professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or MIA.
  • Min. 10 years post professional experience preferably from the manufacturing industry.
  • Possess a high level of integrity, initiative, drive, commitment, sense of urgency, leadership qualities, pro-active with proven analytical problem solving skills
  • Technically strong in overall accounting functions – financial management, consolidation, budgets, forecast, cash flows, internal controls, contractual agreements.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP/Microsoft AX will be an advantage
