Engineer, Client Support

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business functions and control requirements into effective and efficient design of automated solutions. Identify technically feasible and cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure satisfaction of end users with service offerings and service levels by integrating applications and technology solutions seamlessly into business processes.
  • Implement new or changed systems that work without major problems after installation
  • Act as focal point providing first level support and guidance to end users in installation, testing and technical problem resolution of IT equipment and other office automation facilities.
  • Coordinate PC vendors, iPerintis Delivery Units and other service providers in implementation, relocation and delivery of service requests and technical problem resolutions for IT equipment and other office automation facilities.
  • Effective and efficient use of applications and technology solutions to ensure user compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Optimise the IT infrastructure, resources and capabilities, and accounting for IT assets by establishing and maintaining accurate and complete repository of asset configuration attributes and baselines, and comparing them against actual asset configuration.
  • Maintain up to date IT facilities inventory and manage effective disposals of obsolete IT facilities.
  • Ensure satisfaction of end users with service offerings and service levels, and reducing solution and service delivery defects and rework.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure that IT facilities can resist and recover from errors and failures
  • Transparency and understanding of IT cost, benefits, strategy, policies and service levels in accordance with governance requirements by monitoring and report process metrics.
  • Protect the achievement of IT objectives and comply with IT-related laws, regulations and contracts. Monitor the internal control processes for IT-related activities and identify improvement actions (if any).
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and contractual requirements by identifying all applicable laws, regulations and contracts and the corresponding level of IT compliance. Optimise IT processes to reduce the risk of non-compliance.
  • Assist to maintain up to date standard operational procedures and related documentation.
  • Provide training and guidance to new users on effective utilization of IT facilities.
  • Coordinate periodic meetings with vendors and service providers on service levels agreements and issue resolution.
  • Provide training and guidance to new users on effective utilization of IT facilities.
  • Provide (daily/weekly/monthly) reports on delivery of IT and office automation facilities services for management reporting.
  • Participate in regular status updates to the Section Head, across other sections and Regional IT.
  • Comply with the budget allocated for projects.
  • Participate in the operations business cycle.
  • Coordinate and participate in the implementation of new projects relating to office automation and computing facilities.
  • Highlight to superior of any ICT related issues/concerns

Requirements: 

  • Willing to work in Kerteh, Terengganu
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Information Technology/ Engineering or equivalent disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years of industry knowledge in ICT facility
  • Fresh graduate can be considered
  • Knowledge of clients business imperatives
  • Knowledge of information technology industry, application solutions and service management best practises
  • Proficient knowledge of ICT audit policies and procedures relating to system security
